The Calling & Ministry

Apostle Steven Antwon Watson, Sr., affectionately called "Steve," began his ministry at an early age as he attended the Mt. Zion Holiness Church with his grandmother. He later moved to Chadboun, North Carolina with family and attended the St. John MB Church, where he sang on the choir and played the piano. Steven began preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of 14, filled with the power of the Holy Ghost, he was commissioned by God to preach that the power of God can change a man's life and sustain him until Christ’s return. Because of his faithfulness and love for the Lord and his obedience to his spiritual mother, he was promoted to serve as Assistant Pastor and later elevated to the pastorate in 1989.

Apostle Watson, knowing that there was more to God than what he was experiencing, received the full revelation from the Almighty God Himself and directed to return to his roots ... God's Commandments including the 7th Day Sabbath. Apostle Watson was introduced to the 7th Day Sabbath as a child in Atlantic City, New Jersey through his paternal grandmother, Mother Rhudella Watson, a devout commandment keeper. As a young commandment keeper, he attended the Holy Church of the Living God in Pleasantville, New Jersey. Apostle Watson was unwavering in his convictions and practice as a commandment keeper, but resisted smug judgementalism in his relationships with a broad spectrum of friends, associates and churches. The apostolic anointing upon his life provoked him to embrace the entire body of Christ.

Apostle Watson served as Founder and Overseer of Restoring The Fire Glory Realm Ministries, Inc., Philadelphia, PA. While serving as ministry overseer of his own work, Apostle Watson made full proof of his apostolic call by helping to build other churches, ministries and organizations. His God given ability to usher God's people into the heavenlies through the ministry of music became the trademark of his ministry. An awesome songwriter in his own right, he produced songs that are sung by congregations across the world, such as: "I’m Anointed & Appointed", "Pointing Souls to Calvary" and several others.

As a tender spirited man of God, Steve never wanted to disappoint anyone, therefore, he found it difficult to say "no." Apostle Watson served as principle musician for several ministries and organizations such as: True Gospel Tabernacle, Faith Mission, Jehovah Shalom Church, and Emmanuel Apostolic Temple of Deliverance, all of Philadelphia, PA, and a few others. Due to illness, he was forced to slow down, serving lastly at his home church Pure Word Ministries Deliverance Church of Jesus Christ located in Chester, PA.

Apostle Steven Watson was called into Apostleship in October of 2000, receiving impartation and prophetic utterance. Be it known to all that Apostle Steven Antwon Watson, Sr., was not just an awesome musician, he was a dynamic preacher and teacher. As an apostle of fire, he preached about the levels of the glory realm of God and His manifestations. Teaching man to praise and worship God beyond their usual level. He was indeed a True Worshipper.

While doing the work of an Apostle, he served as an Associate Apostle, Worship Group Leader and National Minister of Music for the Greater Israel Apostolic Fellowship Churches International, Inc., National Elder of the Tabernacle of Fire Fellowship Churches Worldwide, and Head Praise and Worship Leader of Emmanuel Apostolic Temple of Deliverance. Apostle Watson was also elected Vice President of the One Mind Fellowship of Churches shortly before his passing. Indeed he carried an apostolic anointing.
